The good news is that we’re here to help you out. Modern Warfare 2 isn’t technically set to launch until the 28th, which is roughly just over a week from now. However, if you digitally pre-ordered Infinity Ward’s upcoming shooter, you’ll be glad to know that it will be available as soon as this weekend. The early access to the Modern Warfare 2 campaign starts at the following times on the 20th:
10:00 PST 13:00 ET 18:00 BST 19:00 CEST 06:00 NZT (21st) 04:00 AEST (21st) 02:00 JST (21st)
Infinity Ward and Activision Blizzard are sweetening the deal even further for digital pre-orders by throwing in freebies. Completing the game’s story will net you a lot of cosmetics and other stuff for Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer campaign. If you pre-order MW2 and play through the campaign over the week, you’ll flash “exclusive” operators, calling cards, stickers, and weapons, way ahead of everybody else once you jump into the multiplayer mode. Call of Duty campaigns very rarely last over a dozen hours, so a week is more than enough time for you to clear through the ending at least once. Don’t worry, you won’t need to pre-order MW2 or finish the campaign as soon as possible to get the campaign rewards. Unless otherwise stated, it’s assumed that the campaign rewards are available for the foreseeable future. In other Call of Duty news, leakers claim that players can pre-load MW2 news on the 19th.
