With franchises like Assassin’s Creed, Tom Clancy, Far Cry, and Watch Dogs, Ubisoft is one of the most popular and successful video game companies in the world. However, it has struggled with recent releases such as the 2022 games Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope and Just Dance 2023, selling fewer units than projected. Apart from this, the company has canceled seven titles within the past six months and also delayed its highly anticipated title, Skull and Bones, for the sixth time. The combination of low sales, cancelations, and the Skulls and Bones delay plummeted the company’s stock prices to their lowest point in seven years.
