Yoimiya’s Talents

Firework Flare-Up

Firework Flare-up is Yoimiya’s normal, charged, and plunging attack. Her normal attacks can perform up to 5 succeeding shots. Yoimiya’s Charged has two levels. Holding it for a short period of time will shoot a Pyro-infused attack on enemies. Holding it for longer will charge up to 3 kindling arrows, which will follow nearby enemies and deal Pyro damage on hit. Both charged attacks have increased damage.

Niwabi Fire Dance

Niwabi Fire Dance is Yoimiya’s elemental skill. Activating this skill will infuse Yoimiya’s normal attacks with the Pyro element. Holding your charged attack for longer will not generate kindling arrows whenever this skill is activated, so it is best to use her normal attacks instead. When you switch Yoimiya with another character, this effect will be deactivated.

Ryuukin Saxifrage

Ryuukin Saxifrage is Yoimiya’s elemental burst. She will leap into the air, dealing Pyro damage to nearby enemies. One of the enemies will gain the Aurous Blaze mark. If any other party member aside from Yoimiya attacks, uses an elemental skill or burst on the opponent that currently has the Aurous Blaze mark, that action will trigger an explosion, dealing AoE Pyro damage. The mark can transfer to another opponent if the enemy died before the duration of the mark ends.

Tricks of the Trouble-maker

You can unlock this passive at Ascension Phase 1. This passive will increase Yoimiya’s pyro damage bonus by 2% whenever you perform normal attacks while your elemental skill is activated. The effect can stack up to 10 times and has a duration of 3 seconds.

Summer Night’s Dawn

You can unlock Summer Night’s Dawn at Ascension Phase 4. After using Ryuukin Saxifrage, all members aside from Yoimiya will gain a 10% increase in attack. The effects on the Tricks of the Troublemaker can stack up with this passive. The attack bonus effect has a duration of 15 seconds.

Blazing Match

Blazing Match is Yoimiya’s utility passive. Whenever she crafts a decoration, ornament, or landscape furniture, she will refund some of the materials used when creating the furnishing.

Best Build for Yoimiya

Yoimiya works well as a main DPS because her elemental skill infuses with the Pyro element. Characters like Xingqiu and Baal can help set up for Yoimiya because their skills work even when the characters are off-field. Keep an eye out on your elemental skill and deal as much damage as you can whenever your elemental skill is activated.

Pyro DPS Weapons

Thundering Pulse

Thundering Pulse is a five-star bow that can be obtained through the Inazuma Series weapon banner. Thundering Pulse has a CRIT Damage sub-stat and has the effect called Rule by Thunder. This weapon increases your attack by 20% and gives you the Thunder Emblem effect. The Thunder emblem effect can stack up to three times. The emblem increases your attack damage by 12/24/40%, depending on the amount of stack you have. You can get 1 emblem by dealing damage to enemies using your normal attack or elemental skill. You can also get a stack as long as your energy is less than a 100%.

Rust

Rust is a four-star bow that can be obtained through the Gacha system. This bow has an ATK sub-stat and gives the effect called Rapid Firing. Rapid Firing increases the damage of your normal attack by 40%. However, this weapon also decreases your charged attack by 10%.

Hamayumi

The Hamayumi Bow is a new craftable weapon that was released in update 2.0. You can check out my guide here on how to unlock its blueprint. This four-star bow has an attack sub-stat and gives the effect called Full Draw. Full Draw increases your normal attack by 16% and charged attack damage by 12%, When your energy reaches 100%, the Full Draw effect increases by 100% as well.

Elemental Burst Weapons

Skyward Harp

If you would like to use Yoimiya as a swap-out elemental burst character, you can also use the Skyward Harp. The Skyward Harp is a five-star bow that can be obtained through the Gacha system. It has a CRIT Rate sub-stat and gives the effect called Echoing Ballad. Echoing Ballad increases your CRIT damage by 20%. Every time you hit an enemy, you have a 60% chance to generate an AoE attack, dealing 125% of your physical attack damage. This effect can happen every 4 seconds.

Yoimiya’s Artifact Set

When farming for Yoimiya’s artifacts, prioritize getting ATK%, Pyro damage, and CRIT damage for the substats.

4 pcs. Shimenawa’s Reminiscence

The best artifact set for Yoimiya so far is Shimenawa’s Reminiscence. This artifact set is a new set that came out with the Inazuma Update 2.0. You can get this artifact set at the Momiji-Dyed Court in Inazuma. 2 pieces of this artifact set will increase your attack by 20%. Equipping 4 pcs. of this artifact set will increase your normal/charged/plunging attack damage by 50% for a duration of 10%. However, this effect can only occur when you have more than 15 energy and you will lose 15 energy during the effect duration.

2 pcs. Crimson Witch of Flames/2 Gladiator’s Finale

If you do not have a full set of Shimenawa’s Reminiscence yet, you can go for 2 pcs. of Crimson Witch of Flames and 2 pcs. of Gladiator’s Finale. 2 pcs. of Crimson Witch of Flames will give you a 15% Pyro Damage Bonus and 2 pcs. of Gladiator’s Finale will increase your attack by 18%. You can get the Gladiator’s Finale on World Bosses and you can get the Crimson Witch of Flames at the Hidden Palace of Zhou Formula.

Team Compositions

Main DPS Yoimiya

Yoimiya works best with Xingqiu because she can perform constant Vaporize damage even when Xingqiu is off-field. Aside from this, Bennett will give you an attack buff and act as the healer of the team. Having 2 pyro characters in your team will increase your attack damage by 25%. You can also add Fischl for an Overload reaction whenever Xingqiu’s skills are on cooldown. This team focuses on increasing Yoimiya’s attack and creating reactions with characters that are off-field.

Overload Team

The benefit of having Yoimiya as your main DPS is that she can proc the Overload elemental reaction without being affected by the AoE explosion and knockback. Just like the last party, Bennett will act as your main healer and support. You can add Baal or the Raiden Shogun to the team because her elemental skill can be used off-field, constantly applying Electro to enemies. She will also act as your sub-DPS in this team. For the last slot, you can add Beidou or Kujou Sara to your battery.

Free to Play

For a free-to-play team, you can add Amber to get the attack increase buff on the Pyro resonance. Kaeya will act as your battery and melt reaction. The last slot is quite flexible, you can add Lisa so you can have a sub-DPS and overload reaction. You can also add Barbara as your healer. However, if you have Noelle, she can give Yoimiya both a shield and extra healing.

Summary

Yoimiya is a 5-star Pyro character that uses the Bow. Her elemental skills infuse her normal attacks with the Pyro element, making her a good constant Pyro DPS. Yoimiya works best with characters that can support her off-field. Raiden Shogun, Xingqiu, and Fischl can cause elemental reactions for Yoimiya without having to be on the field. When it comes to artifacts, prioritize getting ATK% and Pyro damage for her sub-stats.
