Yanfei’s Talents
When using Yanfei, you have to focus on using her charged attacks to deal damage. You also need to collect Scarlet Seals to reduce the stamina you need when performing charged attacks.
Seal of Approval
The Seal of Approval is Yanfei’s normal and Charged Attacks. Yanfei will shoot Pyro fireballs for her normal attack and hitting enemies will give her a Scarlet Seal. When you use Yanfei’s Charged attack, she will use all the Scarlet Seals that she accumulated and will deal a heavy Pyro attack on her enemies. The more Scarlet Seals Yanfei has, the higher the damage she deals with her Charged attack. The Scarlet Seals will also reduce the stamina Yanfei uses when performing a Charged Attack.
Signed Edict
The Signed Edict is Yanfei’s Elemental Skill. Activating this skill will summon AoE Pyro damage in front of her. If you hit the enemy successfully with Signed Edict, you will get three Scarlet Seals., which you can use to perform a charged attack once again.
Done Deal
Done Deal is the Elemental Burst of Yanfei Activating this skill summons a burst of flame around her that will burn her enemies. Using her elemental burst will also give her three Scarlet Seals and will activate the passive, Brilliance. This passive will randomly give Yanfei a Scarlet Seal as long as she is on the battlefield.
Proviso
You can unlock the Proviso passive talent at Ascension Phase 1. This passive increases Yanfei’s Pyro Damage by 5% every 6 seconds whenever she uses her Scarlet Seals for a Charged attack. Make sure to wait until the six seconds have passed before using your Charged Attack to avoid nullifying the effect of Proviso.
Blazing Eye
Blazing Eye is another Passive Talent that can be unlocked on Ascension Phase 4. Whenever Yanfei performs a CRIT attack, she will perform an AoE Pyro Damage that scales to 80% of her Attack.
Encyclopedic Expertise
Encyclopedic Expertise is Yanfei’s Utility Passive, which shows the resources that you can get on the map whenever you are in the Liyue Region.
Best Build for Yanfei
Yanfei is great at being a Pyro Main DPS. She may run into Stamina issues, however, getting her constellations can help solve this problem.

Lost Prayer to the Winds
The Lost Prayer to the Winds is a five-star catalyst that has a CRIT Rate Sub stat. This Catalyst will increase your movement speed by 10%. Whenever your character is on the battlefield, your character will also gain an 8% elemental damage bonus every 4 seconds. You can stack this effect by up to 4 times. This weapon works well with Yanfei because of the added elemental damage that is needed for catalyst users.
The Windsith
The Windsith is a four-star catalyst that has a CRIT DMG sub stat. This catalyst also has the effect called Debut, which is great for Yanfei. Whenever your character enters the battlefield, they will get a random song for ten seconds. Recitative will increase your attack by 60%, Aria will increase your Elemental Damage by 48% and Interlude will increase your Elemental Mastery by 240.

Skyward Atlas
The Skyward Atlas is a five-star catalyst option for Yanfei. Skyward Atlas has an ATK sub stat and gives you the effect called Wandering Clouds. Wandering Clouds will increase your elemental damage bonus by 12%. Both your normal and charged attacks have a 50% chance to deal an extra 160% ATK damage on nearby enemies.
Eye of Perception
The Eye of Perception is a four-star weapon option that has an ATK sub stat. This weapon gives your normal and charged attacks a 50% chance to generate a Bolt of Perception. The Bolt of Perception will deal 240% ATK DMG to an enemy. If you have more than one enemy, the bolt of perception will bounce between them by up to 4 times. You can get this effect every 12 seconds.

Yanfei’s Artifact Set focuses on increasing her Pyro or Charged Attack damage. Below are some of the best artifact sets you can use for Yanfei. As always, you should aim for CRIT DMG, CRIT Rate, and Elemental Mastery for her sub-stats.
4pc. Crimson Witch of Flames
Equipping Yanfei with 2 pieces of Crimson Witch of Flames will give her a Pyro damage bonus of 15%. Completing a 4-piece set of Crimson Witch of Flames will increase the damage of overload and burning by 40%. The artifact set will also increase your melt and vaporize damage by 15%. Whenever you use an elemental skill, your pyro damage bonus from the 2 piece-artifact set will increase to 50% every ten seconds. You can get this artifact set in the Hidden Palace of Zhou Formula.
4pc. Wanderer’s Troupe
If you want to focus on maximizing Yanfei’s charged attacks, 4 pieces of Wanderer’s Troupe can work on Yanfei. 2 pieces of Wanderer’s Troupe will increase your elemental master by 80 and 4 pieces of Wanderer’s Troupe will increase the damage of your charged attacks by 35%. You can get the Wanderer’s Troupe artifact set by defeating Weekly and Normal bosses on World Level 2 and up.
4pc. Lavawalker
Another Artifact option for Yanfei is 4 pieces of Lavawalker. This artifact set is great for dealing extra Pyro damage on enemies. 2 pieces of this artifact set will increase your Pyro Resistance by 40%. 4 pieces of this artifact set will increase your damage on enemies that have the Pyro element applied to them by 35%. You can get this artifact set on the Hidden Palace of Zhou Formula.

Team Compositions
Melt Team
Yanfei is a four-star character, making her a low investment, high damage character. You can pair her with Xiangling to increase your ATK by 25%. Adding Rosaria and Barbara to the team can help with the Melt and Vaporize elemental reactions, giving your twice the damage if done correctly. Barbara will work as your healer and support, while also applying the Hydro element on your enemies.
Vaporize Team
If you want to maximize Yanfei’s damage, you can add Xiangling and Fischl to your team. These two will give you overload reactions and Bouba can help apply constant Pyro on the enemies. Fischl and Xiangling also work great as a sub DPS whenever Yanfei runs out of Stamina. Xingqiu will constantly apply for the Wet status on enemies, allowing Yanfei to constantly Vaporize her enemies.
Zhongli Team
Yanfei is a Pyro Catalyst user, and while she can deal consistent Pyro damage on enemies, she is also extremely vulnerable to attacks. By adding Zhongli to your team, you can increase the survivability of Yanfei on the Shield. You can also add Bennett as your healer so you can activate the Fervent Flames resonance and increase your attack by 25%. You can also add Xingqiu to the team to create a constant Vaporize Elemental Reaction.
