Some of the games, like Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed, are remakes, while others, such as SpellForce: Conquest of Eo and SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake are sequels. Visitors to the conference will have a chance to play and experience the said titles before they hit store shelves. THQ Nordic was founded in 2011 as Nordic Games. The company changed its name to THQ Nordic in 2016 after its parent company, Embracer Group, purchased the THQ trademark. It has 988 employees and over €150 million in revenue, making it one of the top video game publishers in the world. The company hosts the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase where it unveils its upcoming titles. The most recent one took place on August 12 this year. Gamescom is the biggest gaming convention in the world and had over 370,000 attendees during its 10th anniversary in 2018. Due to the coronavirus, Gamescom 2022 will be the first in-person event in three years. Sony, Take-Two Interactive, Nintendo, and Activision Blizzard are among those who will not attend Gamescom 2022. Even so, more than 500 companies have registered for Gamescom 2022 with Samsung, AMD, Ubisoft, and Xbox, among the exhibitors. THQ Nordic is another big name on the roster and it promises to provide visitors with an unforgettable experience. For the event, THQ Nordic will be located at Hall 8, Stand A10 – B11. The publisher announced it will be presenting alongside HandyGames between 11 AM and 4:30 PM every day.
