Of the four, Days Gone is the only first-party Sony title that has yet to release. Bend Studio’s open-world zombie shooter is expected to launch on the PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on May 18. Perhaps more importantly though, it seems like Days Gone isn’t the only PlayStation Studios game coming to the PC via Steam.
What’s Next for the PlayStation Studios Steam Page?
The PlayStation Studios Steam page has been hinted at for weeks already. However, over the weekend was the first time that the Steam page actually went live with content. Of course, we know that Sony Interactive Entertainment plans on porting more of its exclusives to the PC soon. This much was confirmed by SIE CEO, Jim Ryan, in an earlier interview with GQ where he also revealed that Days Gone is headed to the PC. Not to mention, there’ve been leaks and rumors over the past few months that a PC port of God of War and Ghost of Tsushima is currently in the works. With that said, the PlayStation Studios Steam page hints that Sony is preparing to bring more of its goodies to the PC. At the moment, the page shows a total of 24 games listed, which is a lot before you realize that the total number is a combination of both games already available as well as the DLCs for each game. But, what is particularly interesting is what is written when you navigate to the “About” page. Instead of 24 games listed on the home page, the “About” page lists 41 games for the PlayStation Studios Steam page. Again, this includes all the DLCs and games available. However, 41 seems like an excessive number. Remember, Days Gone is already included in the 24 games and it’s highly unlikely that title will get 17 extra pieces of content as DLC once it launches on May 18. So, what does this all mean? There’s a huge chance that it is merely a listing error. Then again, Sony might have listed all the upcoming titles already and hidden them from public view. If that’s the case, then we should expect more first-party Sony titles to come over to the PC later this 2021. Hopefully, that is indeed the case and we’ll get to hear more about which first-party exclusives are headed to Steam soon.
