The platform’s flagship program has since helped birth to other similar large production spinoffs like The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, as well as Ahsoka. Given how popular it has become, it’s no surprise that Pedro Pascal is coming back for a third season next year. But, while most are looking forward to Season 3 of The Mandalorian, it appears that Season 4 is in development. According to Cinema Blend, series producer, Jon Favreau, is writing the fourth season of The Mandalorian as Dave Filoni works on the Ahsoka series. This is the first time that we’re hearing about The Mandalorian Season 4. It’s worth noting that Disney hasn’t officially greenlit it yet, so it’s interesting that Favreau is talking about the show this early on in its cycle. If it’s any consolation, The Mandalorian did help kickstart the three interconnected shows, so it only makes sense to set the framework for future seasons as early as possible. Unfortunately, we shouldn’t expect The Mandalorian season 4 to arrive anytime soon. For now, fans will want to look forward to season 3 of The Mandalorian, which will see the Mandalore make its live-action debut. As Din Djarin struggles to come to terms with “losing” his identity for removing his helmet, much of the third season should explore the significance of what happened and the history of Mandalore. In other Star Wars news, fans don’t have to worry about what to watch in the interim. On top of the already-existing Star Wars films and shows on Disney+, Obi-Wan Kenobi will run until June 22. Hopefully, before it ends, we’ll find out what Ewan McGregor meant when he decided that the show might tie into the events of Star Wars Jedi. Also, once Obi-Wan and his return come to an end, Andor’s first season will arrive on August 31.
