However, The CW is continuing with the last DC TV show in the 2022 – 2023 season, Gotham Knights. The channel dropped a new official trailer for the first season of Gotham Knights with an announcement that the show will start airing immediately after the premiere of the returning Superman & Lois on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. The two shows will be a part of the cable channel’s Super Tuesdays. The trailer portrays the events that occur in Gotham after the death of the city’s foremost protector, Batman. It follows District Attorney Harvey Dent in his investigation of the famed vigilante’s murder, where he goes through a slew of potential suspects, including the Caped Crusader’s adoptive son, Turner Hayes. Hayes is the prime suspect in Batman’s murder. In fact, the Dark Knight’s murderers framed Hayes, which isn’t too far-fetched since he has the motive, standing to inherit the massive fortune of the Justice League member. Dent also suspects the Joker’s daughter, Duela, and the children of other Batman enemies.

However, this proves difficult as Batman’s absence brings on a new wave of criminality that threatens the city’s safety. The group, though now fugitives, must protect Gotham from these criminal elements and, at the same time, protect themselves from the masked assassins who are after their lives. They must become the city’s next generation of saviors, known as the Gotham Knights. Gotham Knights was created for The CW by Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux, and Natalie Abrams. The three writers also serve as executive producers alongside Greg Berlanti, David Madden, and Sarah Schechter. Despite its name, the show is not associated with or based on the recently released action role-playing game of the same name. The show’s cast members include Oscar Morgan and Olivia Rose Keegan who play Hayes and Duela respectively. It also includes Navia Robinson, Fallon Smythe, Tyler DiChiara, Anna Lore, and Rahart Adams as Carrie Kelley, Harper Row Cullen Row, Stephanie Brown, and Brody March respectively. Misha Collins plays Dent/Two-Face. While Gotham Knights has an exciting premise, The CW will wait for the show’s reception before deciding whether to renew it for another season. Gotham Knights will debut on The CW on March 14 and will air every Tuesday thereafter.
