The recent update to Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered lets players receive in-game rewards such as early access to certain costumes by linking their PSN and Steam accounts. It’s not a bad time for Sony to start experimenting with this feature as it prepares to launch more games on the PC platform. After God of War kickstarted the movement for the year, games such as Marvel’s Spider-Man have since made their way to the PC. Later this month, games such as Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection and Sackboy: A Big Adventure, will both be available on the PC. Just to be clear, the PC port of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered doesn’t require a PSN account to play. It also doesn’t come with additional features such as cross-save and cross-progression. It’s not clear if these features are on the table but we’d like to think that Sony is looking into the possibility. Hopefully, Sony will release an update for God of War, Days Gone, and Horizon Zero Dawn, so that they can enjoy similar benefits on Steam. At the moment, fans are looking forward to the release dates of the PC ports for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and The Last of Us Part 1. Other exclusives like Returnal, Ghost of Tsushima, and Horizon Forbidden West are names that are constantly brought up for PC ports, but Sony hasn’t confirmed that they exist let alone if they’re coming.
