Publisher Square Enix and developer People Can Fly haven’t given up on the game, and the latest major bug fix patch just solved a major issue on Xbox. While many of the biggest issues related to wiped inventories, crashes and legendary item drop rates have been fixed by the numerous patches released by the developers over the course of the last few months, some issues yet persist. One of the standout bugs affected Xbox players only, where logging into the game was a lottery - and even if you succeeded, you’d be hit with vastly longer loading times than on PC or PlayStation. The latest patch solves this issue at long last, meaning Xbox players can log into Outriders quicker and more reliably, greatly improving the game experience on the platform. While the Xbox login fix is the highlight of this latest update that went live yesterday, plenty of other bugs have been squashed by the development team alongside it.
Additionally it includes a number of bug and crash fixes. Things are definitely looking up for Outriders fans, as newer players who joined in more recently report way less bugs than at launch, having experienced only the patched up version. While the game definitely adds to the perception of AAA games launching in unfinished states nowadays, unlike some other major examples it seems like things are looking up for Outriders as the game is on a clear track of leaving its buggy past behind.
