This crossover was made possible by the generous cooperation of EA and BioWare, allowing the homage to take place in Hello Games’ huge space exploration sim. Sean Murray and many of the folks working on No Man’s Sky are huge Mass Effect fans, so this is as much a treat for them as us. Expeditions were launched in No Man’s Sky back in April, and combine in-game community goals with ARG elements. Beachhead was kicked off by a cryptic post from Murray, written in the game’s fictional language, which fans quickly deciphered as “Look to the monolith, the weapon is coming.” Since then, it has been revealed that “monolith” is a reference to the alien Monoliths in Mass Effect: Andromeda, while the expedition name “Beachhead” is a reference to the eventual Reaper invasion following the ending of Mass Effect 2.
How To Unlock The Normandy In No Man’s Sky
So how can you add the Normandy to your Frigate Fleet in No Man’s Sky? In order to get the crossover vessel, you need to complete the Beachhead expedition in the game until May 31st, which is the end date of this current event. There are five phases of the overall expedition, each with specific milestone objectives that let you progress through the reward track. Phases 1 through 4 are trivially easy - there isn’t really a point to put together a guide for them because the game literally tells you precisely what to do, when to do it, and where to go. Phase 5 is where things get interesting - technically, it isn’t yet possible to complete it. This is where the community goal and the ARG comes into play, because some of the milestones haven’t been deciphered yet! Keep an eye out for the final solutions though, because the time left to unlock your own Normandy is quickly running out.
