The new series is based on the Marvel Comics feature Kamala Khan (a.k.a Ms. Marvel), a 16-year-old Pakistani-American high school student captivated by the superheroes. She always wanted to be a superhero, and her wishes come true when she gains superpowers of her own. Marvel has done an incredible job of casting Iman Vellani to play the role of Kamala Khan. There will be a total of six Ms. Marvel episodes spanning throughout June and ending on July 13, 2022, with the first episode set to release on June 8, 2022, at 3 A.M. Eastern Time (ET), 12 A.M. Pacific Time (PT), and 8 A.M. British Summer Time (BST). The episodes following the premiere are set to release weekly at the same time mentioned above. The release dates of each episode are as follows:
Episode 1: June 8, 2022 Episode 2: June 15, 2022 Episode 3: June 22, 2022 Episode 4: June 29, 2022 Episode 5: July 6, 2022 Episode 6: July 13, 2022
As mentioned earlier, Ms. Marvel will be available for everyone to watch on June 8 on Disney Plus. Ms. Marvel is intended to be the seventh television series in the MCU. The streaming platform is available to the vast majority of the people residing in a number of different countries. In addition to Iman Vellani, Ms. Marvel has an incredible and talented cast, including Matt Lintz as Bruno Carrelli, Zenobia Shroff as Muneeba Khan, Mohan Kapoor as Yusuf Khan, Yasmeen Fletcher as Nakia Bahadir, Aramis Knight as Kareem, Laith Nakli as Sheikh Abdullah, Travinga Springer as Tyesha Hillman, Rish Shah as Kamran, and Laurel Marsden as Zoe Zimmer. These are just a few, as other notable actors reported to be in the series include Fawad Khan and Farhan Akhtar, although their roles are still not confirmed. The show already has a decent hype revolving around it, and similar to its peers, Ms. Marvel is expected to perform well. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it sure takes us back to the nostalgic superhero coming-of-age era.
