Expect to see more of Eternals on DVD and Blu-Ray
Eternals is one of the first original feature films for the MCU in a while. Instead of featuring characters from previous MCU films and movies, Eternals follows immortal beings who have lived in secret on Earth for millennia. However, after the Blip from Avengers: Endgame brings back their enemies, the Deviants, the Eternals break their silence to protect the rest of the universe. Although we’re still not quite sure what to expect from the Eternals in the future, the film’s post-credits scene teases a potential return in the future. Having said that, the deleted scenes and added content from Eternals might clue viewers in for the future of these superpowered immortal beings. According to Collider, the DVD and Blu-ray release of Eternals will feature four deleted Eternals scenes. This includes an important conversation between Phastos and his son, Jack, as well as Makkari discussing mankind. The other scenes feature Kingo and Gilgamesh bonding over movies and Sprite confronting Dane about what his relationship with Sersi is. In addition to this, Eternals will come with an audio commentary from the director, a gag reel, and a behind-the-scenes documentary where Marvel Studios talks about why it decided to bring Eternals to life. The DVD and Blu-ray release of Eternals will also feature Walks of Life, a film where the cast discuss their reactions and experiences while filming. Despite introducing an entirely unfamiliar cast of characters, Eternals managed to pull in $401.2 million at the global box office. Unfortunately, the film did not do too well with critics. Eternals is now officially the worst-reviewed MCU film ever on Rotten Tomatoes and the only MCU film with a Rotten rating. Disney and Marvel Studios will get a chance to see how Eternals will do among streaming audiences once it hits Disney+ on January 12, 2022. The DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD release will follow suit on February 15.
