With several mobile games slated for release in that same timeframe, this can hopefully help the company recover from recent cancellations due to cost reductions, which underlined a difficult recent few years and months for the company. According to sources informing known insider Tom Henderson, who is part of Insider Gaming, Ubisoft will release at least 11 games for multiple platforms over the course of the next 15 months. Apart from these high-profile PS5 games, Ubisoft is apparently targeting other platforms as well.
Project Orland- doesn’t have a defined market of platforms yet but is a project that started out as The Crew 2 DLC. Expected to grow out as a standalone racing franchise if it succeeds on par with Forza Horizon, a PS5 release is more than likely. ”Motorfest” is another rumored title for the project that is expected in the coming months. Assassin’s Creed Nexus- is Ubisoft’s attempt to conquer the VR Gaming market, although it’s their worst kept secret. Producing the game for the Oculus Quest 2 has had its ups and downs but if Meta approves the marketing, we will be one step closer to another frontier.
With four mobile games on the way, Ubisoft are making sure they cover the entire gaming spectrum in the coming months.
Rainbow 6 Mobile – is an attempt from the acclaimed franchise to bring mobile gamers the ultimate multiplayer first-person shooter experience. It will be free to play and will have competitive modes, serving a complete port from the PC game. Assassin’s Creed Codenamed Jade – is another mobile title where you are met with a brand-new mobile open-world in Ancient China! Targeting the Asian mobile gaming market with touch controls that offer a seamless experience. If parkour on the Great Wall isn’t your thing, you can try to discover secret locations by sneaking through bustling cities. Assassin’s Creed Netflix Collaboration – An original Assassin’s Creed mobile game made by Netflix and Ubisoft is the next step following their forthcoming live-action series. It should be an opportunity to develop Netflix’s gaming outreach without featuring any ads or in-app purchases.
There’s no word on a handful of other titles that are known to have started production, but we haven’t seen them, and neither have they been announced as canceled. Beyond Good and Evil 2 is one of them and the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is also uncertain. Not seeing the untitled Star Wars game by Massive Entertainment on this list isn’t surprising, but these titles should keep us satisfied in the meantime.
