While Rockstar has been quiet about its plans for the next GTA title, Grand Theft Auto 6, the fandom is doing whatever it can to dig up any information that possibly ties into the next game.
An Instagram news page, ThatsSoBold, recently posted claiming that the sixth installment of the Grand Theft Auto series will be announced this coming November. Just like several previous leaks, ThatsSoBold also claims that the game will take place in Miami with new features such as Hurricanes and Gators.
They also claimed that the GTA 6 map would be three times bigger than the GTA 5 map, and that it will change over time, similar to how the Fortnite map has changed through the seasons. This is the most exciting part about the leak and would be the first time we see something like it in a GTA game. It could change the whole gameplay aspect and open doors to a range of new possibilities. Rockstar has also recently started taking down comments that mention GTA 6 and anything remotely related to it. This has even gone so far as muting the word “GTA VI” on Rockstar’s Youtube channel, in an attempt to avoid any further conversations related to the topic. There is no doubt that the next GTA installment is one of the most anticipated games of all time and will be played by millions of players worldwide for years to come. Given the high expectations players have for the GTA 6, it is no surprise that Rockstar is taking their sweet time with the game. The next-gen GTA 5 was supposed to release for the PS5 and Xbox Series S|X in November, but it was pushed back to March 2022. The timing of the next-gen trailer and the leak timings are quite interesting. Perhaps the next GTA title was supposed to be revealed with the trailer? Will GTA 6 be announced in November or December? No one knows how much weight this leak holds. We can only pray and hope for some good news as we approach the end of the year.
