The latest Spider-Man: No Way Home TV spot features more Electro
This is not Jamie Foxx’s first go at Electro. He first played the supervillain in 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2. In the movie, Foxx’s character, Max Dillion, is an Oscorp electrical engineer who later becomes Electro following a freak accident. Foxx was first reported to reprise his former role back in 2020 before he confirmed it on Instagram only to later delete the post. What’s perhaps the most interesting part about Foxx’s return as Electro is that he’s using similar technology to Tony Stark’s arc reactor. Many fans believe that this explains why the character can appear normal in No Way Home and not as his polarizing blue former self. In addition to several looks at some of the villains that are going to appear in the upcoming film, the teaser also gives audiences a look at the Captain America Statue of Liberty as well as more scenes from the bridge fight between Doctor Octavius and Peter Park.
— Spider-Man No Way Home News And Countdown (@SpiderMan3news) November 26, 2021 Spider-Man: No Way Home will see Tom Holland’s Peter Parker/Spider-Man deal with the aftermath of Mysterio revealing his real-life identity in 2019’s Far From Home. In an attempt to make everyone forget about what happened, Peter asked Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange for help. Unfortunately, things go wrong after Strange casts the spell. Now, Spider-Man must deal with a multiverse worth of villains, including Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock, Thomas Haden Chruch’s Sandman, and Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin as well as Foxx’s Electro and Rhys Ifans’ Lizard. Luckily, Holland will have some much-needed help. Even if it hasn’t been confirmed yet, fans know that Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield are both set to reprise their former roles to help lend their fellow Spider-Man a hand. Fans will know more for sure about what will happen in Spider-Man: No Way Home once it arrives in theaters on December 17.
