Now, it appears that Star Wars fans have even more of a reason to be jubilant. According to Star Wars insider, Kristian Harloff, Cal Kestis, the protagonist of the popular Star Wars video game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (and its sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor), is getting a live-action adaptation on Disney+ with Cameron Monaghan reprising his role as the young Jedi. It’s important to note that Harloff clarified that this is a rumor and it’s not confirmed. But, if you think about it, the timing fits. Lest we forget, Ewan McGregor let it slip in May that Obi-Wan Kenobi is connected with Star Wars Jedi. Of course, he might just have been talking about the fact that the recently-concluded Disney+ series takes place four years after Fallen Order. However, the upcoming sequel will take place right around the same time as Obi-Wan Kenobi. In theory, a Disney+ series starring Monaghan as Cal Kestis could explore the time gap in between Fallen Order and Survivor in the lead-up to the follow-up’s release in 2023. If this is true, then we should start hearing more about the Cal Kestis spin-off soon enough in an official capacity. Otherwise, it just wouldn’t make sense for Disney to release the off-shoot after Survivor comes out unless the game is delayed.
