The other part is physically preparing for the role, especially when you are playing the role of a superhero. We know actors like Tobey Maguire prepared for his Spider-Man role by working out for six months before he could start filming. Chris Hemsworth has been sharing his workouts in preparation for his role as Thor. Recently, Ryan Reynolds was reportedly spotted training for his role in Deadpool 3 by lifting weights. Not to be outdone, Hugh Jackman has recently shared through social media that he has been working out. The actor will be reprising his role as Wolverine in Deadpool 3. Hugh Jackman is already a fine specimen, standing 6’2 and weighing in at around 85 kilograms. Fans love how Jackman has stayed in peak physical form throughout his years playing Logan. The actor would certainly want to look his best as he plays the Wolverine perhaps one last time. There have been a number of actors who are rumored to replace Jackman as the next Wolverine in the MCU. Zac Efron recently addressed the gossip that he was going to play as Logan during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Another actor who was rumored to play as the mutant Wolverine is Daniel Radcliffe. The comic book version of Wolverine stands 5’3 and fans have been wanting a shorter actor to play the role. Radcliffe has ,however, dispelled those rumors.
The Deadpool 3 timeline
The announcement from Reynolds that he was teaming up with Hugh Jackman for Deadpool 3 sent fans into a frenzy. There have been speculations that Marvel intends to add Deadpool to the same cinematic universe as the Avengers and Spider-Man. Fans are excited at the prospect of having Deadpool, Wolverine, and possibly the X-Men in the same timeline as the Avengers. There have however been questions on how the timelines would fit as Wolverine died during the movie Logan. Fans speculate that the film Logan happens at a much later date or in another multiverse separate from Earth 616. It can also be assumed that Deadpool fixed the timelines before they were included in the MCU. The Wade Wilson aka Weapon XI who appeared in X-Men Origins: Wolverine was killed off by a time-traveling Deadpool in the post-credit scene of Deadpool 2. We do hope that Marvel retains Hugh Jackman as Wolverine when Marvel Studios decide to add the X-Men to the MCU. It wouldn’t be the same without him on the X-Men roster. All our questions about the timeline and Wolverine’s future will be answered once Deadpool 3 hits theaters on September 6, 2024.
