Hollow Knight Silksong made a surprise appearance in the early goings of the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase, where Microsoft subtly revealed that the upcoming expansion-turned-standalone follow-up title will be headed to the Xbox Game Pass on day one. But, don’t be too sad if you didn’t see a release date revealed at the event. As per Microsoft’s Sarah Bond, every game that’s part of the day’s showcase will come out in the next 12 months, hinting that the Hollow Knight sequel could launch anytime between today and June next year. Although we would have loved to have a narrow release date or window, this and the new trailer will have to do for now. The Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase trailer for Hollow Knight Silksong didn’t tell us anything that we didn’t already know about the game - Hornet’s debut as a playable and main character will be just as gorgeous as the original 2017 title. Hollow Knight is easily one of the best indie titles in the history of gaming. We’ve covered Hollow Knight extensively in the past, even including the game in our list of the best low-spec PC games and the best cheap games. Hollow Knight Silksong also made it to our list of souls-like games to watch out for, which speaks volumes about how excited we are for the game to hit the market. Only Team Cherry knows when this will happen, but we’re hoping that it’s sooner rather than later.
