Case in point, one of EA’s biggest upcoming projects is Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which is a single-player game. If we believe the leaks, Cal Cestis’ return will be out by March. However, it appears that EA is also working with Disney on one of its other more popular properties. Specifically, Marvel. Last week, we heard through the grapevine that EA is working on a single-player Black Panther title. Now, we just found out that it’s not the only one. Serial leaker, Jeff Grubb, let us in on another EA secret, claiming that EA is “making another Marvel game that’s single-player.” Tom Henderson later corroborated Grubb’s claims. Here’s what the industry insider had to say: So, there you have it - EA “might” be working on an Iron Man game. We’re still amazed to see EA change its mind about single-player games. Make no mistake, EA is still making more money from its live-service games, as revealed in a recent earnings report. But, it’s clear that EA finally sees the value of single-player titles. At the moment, EA will release Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and the upcoming Dead Space remake by next year. However, the EA subsidiary, Respawn Entertainment, is believed to be working on a single-player Apex Legends game. This is in addition to the Star Wars-themed strategy game with Greg Foerstch’s Bit Reactor. If you add Iron Man and Black Panther to that tally, there are at least six upcoming single-player games by EA. Not to mention, fans can look forward to Dragon Age 4 and Mass Effect 5 as well. As for Marvel, plenty of video games are in the works based on the billion-dollar property. The biggest ones are Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Marvel’s Wolverine. We are likely still years away from seeing both games come out. Luckily, one will launch later this year in Marvel’s Midnight Suns.
