At least, this was the case before Polyphony doubled down on Gran Turismo 7’s microtransactions. But, for all of the racing sim’s misfires, surely none is more egregious than having to live through that opening scene over and over again. Make no mistake, Gran Turismo 7’s opening sequence is beautiful. We know of fans who shed a tear when they first heard Moon over the Castle. Unfortunately, this love will turn to disdain almost immediately after finding out you are forced to watch the “unskippable” intro every time you launch the Gran Turismo 7 app. It doesn’t help that it’s well over five minutes long, and perhaps closer to ten too. If you’re one of those worried about being forced to watch through Gran Turismo 7’s intro every single time you load up the game, we’ve got good news for you - you can disable it after the first time you are forced to watch it (there is no avoiding the first time). In addition, you can permanently stop the Gran Turismo 7 intro from playing again. Once on the World Map screen, navigate your way to the GT Menu in the top-left portion and select Options. You’ll see that the first choice on the Options screen is a way to put an end to the opening movie from playing every time you start Gran Turismo 7. Unfortunately, these measures only work after you’ve seen the Gran Turismo 7 opening for the first time. For what it’s worth, the Gran Turismo 7 opening sequence is one for the ages, so you might as well enjoy it before skipping it forever. For starters, after seeing the intro for the first time, all you need to do is to press any button on your DualSense or DualShock 4 controller to skip it on subsequent occasionsTurn this off!
