After the Warzone and Vanguard integration, a new contract called ‘Top Secret’ was recently introduced in Warzone. Picking up the Top Secret Intel gives you a random contract to complete. The random contract can be any of the regular contracts such as the Most Wanted, Recon, or Scavenger.
Completing the Top Secret contract rewarded players anywhere between 1,000 to 5,000 weapon XP and players could rank up their weapons within an hour or so. It was not long before Raven took note of this and removed the contract from Warzone. They’ve temporarily removed the Top Secret contract until they fix the XP exploit. Similarly, players noticed that they could earn considerable weapon XP in zombies. Although Vanguard Zombies lacked content during pre-season and season 1, several players still played it after they figured out that zombies mode was great for leveling up their weapons. This was especially fast during double XP weekend or when using double weapon XP tokens. The strategy was simple and was the fastest possible method to level up your weapons. It seems that Sledgehammer has decided to stop it as well. The general outline of the strategy includes spawning into Der Anfang, meleeing around 35 kills, and exiting the game. Players repeated the same until they maxed out their weapon levels. It took around 4 hours to max out a weapon which is almost half the time it would take to max it out while playing regular multiplayer. Sledgehammer has decided to nerf the XP rates, and unfortunately, this strategy does not work anymore. The exact changes to the XP rates are yet to be tested and discovered. But, the method does not work. Fear not, as it won’t be long before someone figures out the new XP rates and a new optimal zombie strat to level up your weapons. If you’re looking to rank up your weapon, the current fastest working method includes the good old classic Plunder mode. Jump into Plunder and complete the contracts to rank up your weapons.
