There are plenty of reasons why fans are looking forward to playing Ghostwire: Tokyo. For one, it’s part of the shortlist of exclusive games for the PlayStation 5. Not to mention, it’s made by Tango Gameworks, a studio founded by Shinji Mikami, the same guy who birthed well-known Capcom franchises such as Resident Evil and Devil May Cry. Unfortunately, just like a handful of games scheduled to be released in 2021, Ghostwire: Tokyo was delayed. Tango later revealed that Ghostwire: Tokyo would launch sometime in Spring 2022. Fast forward to today and MP1st has spotted a recent update on the PlayStation Store page for Ghostwire: Tokyo. The update is no longer available, but MP1st managed to take a screenshot showing that Ghostwire: Tokyo is coming on March 24. Unfortunately, Bethesda nor Tango has issued a statement confirming Ghostwire: Tokyo’s release date. But, since it comes from an errant PSN listing, you might as well circle March 24 on your calendar. Ultimately, it would make sense if Ghsotwire: Tokyo’s release date was indeed March 24. In addition to the PSN sighting, eagle-eyed observers noted that Ghostwire: Tokyo had just been rated in Brazil and Korea last December and January, respectively. Ratings usually only pop up if a game is nearing its launch, which suggests that Ghostwire: Tokyo is coming soon. If it’s any consolation, Sony is expected to hold a State of Play event in early February. We’ll know for sure by then if Ghostwire: Tokyo is indeed coming in late March.
