MakingStarWars.net claims that Senator Bail Organa will appear in Kenobi after Jimmy Smits was spotted on the set. Smits previously played the role of Senator Organa in 2002’s Attack of the Clones and 2005’s Revenge of the Sith, as well as 2016’s Rogue One. In addition to serving as a political powerhouse on Alderaan, the Senator also raised Princess Leia as his adopted daughter and helped establish the Rebel Alliance. Not to mention, Senator Organa is one of a handful of people privy to the locations of the last living Jedi as well as the children of Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala. Breha Organa is also rumored to join Kenobi albeit it’s not clear if Rebecca Jackson Mendoza will reprise her former role. If we assume that the rumors are true, then Kenobi’s nostalgic cast just got even better. Smits and Mendoza aren’t the only actors that are “confirmed” to appear in the upcoming Disney+ show. Other returning Star Wars actors include Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse as Owen and Beru Lars, respectively. Naturally, the highlight of Kenobi is Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen, the latter of which will come back to play Anakin Skywalker. If there’s one thing that we’ve learned from the success of The Mandalorian, which many believe will be back with its third season before the year ends, as well as The Book of Boba Fett, it’s that you can’t underestimate the power of nostalgia. So far, Obi-Wan Kenobi is shaping up to take advantage of the public’s fondness of the prequel trilogy, critics be damned. We hope that it delivers a worthy tale that does the return of so many familiar faces justice. In other Star Wars news, BioWare just celebrated the launch of the Legacy of the Sith expansion with a cinematic trailer.
